Fixed Wireless is the term of the internet industry to describe network technology used to connect residential and business customers to the wireless infrastructure that Horizon will own and operate. The term "Fixed" is a system that provides broadband internet access to one location using radio waves, eliminating the need for overhead or underground telephone and cable lines.Horizon customers will have an exterior antenna installed to capture Horizon's service, ensuring a very high connection quality. Horizon will hold a Fixed Wireless Network called Long Term Evolution (LTE). Horizon Communications uses 4G LTE technology to provide High Speed Internet access, 4G Define-Advanced Software Defined Radio (SDR) by Carrier Grade front-haul Radio Heads and LTE Remote Basestations.
